What is a Recursive Forge

A forge is our recursion based NFT minting standard on Ordinals. Sketchy URLs are no longer needed for NFT mints as a forge allows the entire minting process from A to Z to happen on an inscription. A full on-chain replacement to minting websites. I give you an inscription number, you locate the forge inscription, follow the minting instructions, customize your mint parameters (traits, name or other misc attributes), and click generate. The forge will provide you with the code to copy and paste into a “mint” inscription, and it really is that easy.

Think of a forge as a recursive ordinal that is built to generate recursive ordinals. Anyone using this standard can set up their forge to their liking for their specific project needs, but in our case we chose to create customizable robots that have traits that upgrade when inscribed on rare sats.
